I sought to join the CanSat Leader Training Program to enhance my capabilities in satellite development and aerospace engineering.
My education background and passion for STEM positioned me uniquely to benefit from and contribute to this program.
The CLTP's comprehensive focus on design, fabrication, and launch processes aligned perfectly with my current academic and career objectives.
By participating in CLTP, I aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application in space technology.
It was an intense and rewarding program adequately focused on satellite/space engineering.
I learned so much, built a network with professionals from 11 countries, and even got to teach what we learnt to the Japanese professionals.
Moreover, as a high school sophomore, I learnt quite a lot about research and development processes which I felt was a unique learning experience.
The main purpose of me doing this course is to prepare myself for bringing such type of training to the UAE for High School students although at a lower level with a simpler version of the CubeSat.
Since many opportunities are exclusive for UAE citizens and there are comparatively a low number of STEM opportunities for high school students that sufficiently challenge them to the best of their abilities, I would like to start a commercial business offering training in a hybrid mode with both online courses and offline training in schools similar to some ECAs students take part in.
It will be a very exciting and rewarding program even for those slightly interested in space science.
The course also includes hands-on training which is very useful.
The teachers and TA's are also very supportive and open to ideas.
Additionally, this program may also serve as a great networking opportunity to connect with others in your field who are similarly interested in space science & satellite design.
